Lake Lillinonah Authority

Funded by the towns of Bridgewater, Brookfield, New Milford, Newtown, Southbury and Roxbury to oversee the environmental, safety and recreational needs of Lake Lillinonah.

CT Federation of Lakes

Our lakes are very fragile; but with public education, remedial programs and political action they can be protected. The CFL wants to help and the CFL is your partner, your resource, your sounding board, your clearing house and even your advocate in local, state, and national matters. The CFL wants to help your pond or lake and their watersheds to be healthier now and in the future. The CFL has resource contacts who are very knowledgeable about lake and watershed management and who are willing to be of assistance. Let the CFL be a mentor to help or give advice. Barkwood Fall Association, Inc.

The Barkwood Falls Association is located in Brookfield, Connecticut, and has been formed in order that it may solve problems of common interest, cultivate and maintain friendly and mutual cooperation among members, and to care for and maintain the common properties, including the recreation lot, and to insure and preserve the present and future welfare of the community, and to promote participation of its members in social, athletic, cultural and civic activities, and to maintain a high standard for the properties situated in the community known as Barkwood Falls.

Housatonic Valley River Trail Site Map

The Housatonic River flows south 150 miles from its source in the Town of Washington, Massachusetts to the shore of Long Island Sound in Connecticut. The watershed includes hundreds of rivers and streams, and almost 2,000 square miles of land as shown on this interstate watershed map by the Housatonic Valley Association.

This website provides information on navigating the Housatonic River and its north flowing tributary The Still River in the Greater Danbury-New Milford Area of Connecticut. It also provides links to canoeing and other recreational activities.

Housatonic Valley Council of Elected Officials

The Housatonic Valley Council of Elected Officials (HVCEO) is a voluntary regional coordinating body maintained by ten municipalities in Western Connecticut. These are Bethel, Bridgewater, Brookfield, Danbury, New Fairfield, New Milford, Newtown, Redding, Ridgefield and Sherman, CT.

The mission of the Housatonic Council is to make the Housatonic Valley Region a better place in which to live, do business and visit through coordinated planning and cooperative approaches.
